Finding Warmth in the Cold

My entry into the winter contest being held by *PhaeOBrien and *Remember2Live in their group, #Dream-and-Day; theme of the contest is Finding Warmth in the Cold.

Dan`tai was busy doing his regular morning warm-ups, when the camp started getting up and coming out of their tents and wagons. Azyriel was one of the first out, in her new red parka, pants, and boots that Oreyn had surprised her with last night. She was moving around, getting the feel of it and enjoying how warm it kept her in the bitter cold morning air. She passed by and greated Dan`tai good mornings.

Xull'rae was coming out of her and Dan`tai's wagon just then, testing out the purple and black parka and boots that he had given to her when Oreyn gave Azyriel her set. He had given Oreyn the gold and information, asking him to have it made when he went to have Azyriel's made; he thought needed a better and much nicer winter outfit than the one she had been wearing.

Azyriel stopped and began chatting with Xull'rae. Dan`tai, being the gentleman that he was, gathered up a few of small logs and started a fire in the fire pit, so that the ladies could chat by it's warmth, if they wished. Just then, Lady Rithiell opened her door up and stepped out, to see what the chatter was outside her wagon. Feeling the nasty cold, she quickly reached up to better wrap her robes about her.

This one took a while, because of the amount of data and models involved. I actually divided it into two pieces to make it a little less "painful", but still was a test of patience, then merged it all in PaintShop afterwards. I had to redo a few things a couple times, because the textures where all wrong, and then the last save I had done of the second half apparently didn't save right and I could not get it to work, so I had to redo that. Luckily, I had saved the scenery by itself AND Xull and Dan`tai in their own saved piece, so I could just remerge those instead of completely starting from scratch.

I bought the Gypsy wagons around Xmas, I have been wanting them for ages. They were on sale for super cheap and I knew they would be great for this scene. ^_^ Dan`tai sorta has a new hairstyle; bought it as the same time as the wagons. Yes, it is still long as hell, but it is in dreads and tied up in a ponytail. He still looks sexy And where would Dan`tai be without the lovely Xull'rae?

LOL But in all seriousness, it just didn't feel right unless she was there too, enjoying in the adventure :3 And the contest rules state I had to use one of the ladies' four OC posted in the contest journal, I ended up picking one of each of their OC because it just seemed more fair to do that and added more character to the picture.






Anyways, Dan`tai Moonshadow belongs to me. Xull'rae Zauviir, the lovely drowess in the nightscale armor and purple, fur-lined coat and boots, belongs to Lisa, aka *XullraeZauviir. Azyriel Aumar, the blonde elf in the red parka, (and Oreyn) belong to *Remember2Live. Lady Rithiell Gel'feyn, the dark haired elf in the fur-lined robes, belongs to *PhaeOBrien.
