Android Cannibalism

She hated having to resort to what she refered to as cannibalism; her human companion called it recycling. He was right, it was, but still, she was ripping parts from dead androids so that she could remain alive...But then she didn't have a choice.

Since the war started, the war between humans and androids, parts weren't easy for them to come by. She was an android who loved a human; he was a human who had fallen for an android. According to each of their people, they were traitors and if their feelings were discovered, they'd both die. So, to keep this secret, they travel. Sometimes they come to human villages, and she will pretend to be one of those rare subserviant droids; and when they came to an android village, he'd act like he were her slave. They only stayed in these places for a couple days; just enough time to get fully rested, replenish supplies, get the latest news and then they were off again.

It had been a few weeks since the last village and supplies were low. Luckily they had happened upon this bombed out town from when humans and androids had still coexisted in peace. He had come across a bunker loaded with years worth of still good food. So while he took inventory and started to fix them a permanent home, she was wondering the city looking for more bunkers and even old droids for "recycling". She was in need of a few repairs and this droid looked in good shape. She'd take it home and begin repairs with his aid before continuing to explore.
