How's it going? A new update to wish you all a
Whether you celebrated solstice/yule a couple days ago, Hanukkah a month ago, Kwanzaa in a few days, Xmas in a couple days, or none/all/several of the above, I am wishing it to everyone. AND a happy new year. May the new year bring many good things your way and treat you nicely.
This past year has been....eventful for me, to say the least. LOL and that's putting it gently. Wow....what a year it has been. I am remaining optimistic that this next year will be a good one, because that is all I can do. I have to do it for the kids AND for myself, because I have to hope that this, that all I have gone through this year, was for something good for us. One of the greatest gifts humanity has to give itself is hope. Even in the darkest of hours, the human mind and soul still manages to carry even the smallest grain of hope somewhere within it. Find that hope within yourself, find that silver-lining in that storm cloud, because EVERY cloud has a silver-lining, no matter how dark it is. So to everyone of you out there, my gift to you is sharing my hope and optimism. No, I am not stupidly optimistic, I am realistically optimistic, because I realize shit happens, and that things don't always work out exactly as planned. Another great thing about the human mind, is our abilities to adapt to situations, so if something doesn't go EXACTLY as you plan or hoped, don't give up. Readjust you plans, in how you were going about things, so that your goal is the same or similar and keep striving. Things always work out in the end of the day, whether it is exactly how you want it to work out or nothing like how you wanted it to work out, things will always work themselves out in the end.
So, art wise, I won't be doing as much random gifting or prize donating, but will instead be focusing more on personal projects. I overextended this past year, with all that. Commissions will remain open, if anyone is ever interested.
If you are interested in pricing, look for the link at the top of the journal.
As per personal projects, those involve:
- my stories, characters, and the artwork that goes with those (whether you see them or not on here)
- my collabs with Damien-Cain, most of which you will not see here on dA, but may see snippets when I do artwork for certain parts, if I submit it
- and as always, illustrating things for XullraeZauviir, usually that means Xull'rae but this next year, expect more of her Aiyana, and maybe some of her other OCs because I am trying to help give them some spotlight and flesh them out for her
I will always be around, lurking even if you don't see me submitting or being super active. I'm not going anywhere. And Lisa and I talked, and since there were no contests in the group this past year, we were thinking about a couple ideas. Nothing solid yet, but for those of XullraeLovers
, maybe expect something
And I will donate to that.
Still doing good. :3 We have the kitten and she's so cute!
and sweet...when not being a typical rambunctious, mischievous, foot-pouncing, spazz of a kitten.
She's happy and is cozy in her new home. I have some pictures of her, I will submit soon. It is nice to have a cat again. Christmas is looking up. The kids have some good gifts, the tree has a nice circle of gifts around it from me, Jon, family and friends, and even the school got them a couple things, since we are on a tight budget. :3 I did not put up the 6ft tree, no room for it, but did put up the small 3 ft one with the pretty color-changing fiber optic lights. We finally got internet at the house last Thursday, so I can get on here more often now! YAY! I have enjoyed spending some time with a couple friends in the evenings, chatting and even doing a little gaming. King's Road thru fb with Lisa. And then some stuff on Steam with another friend. So if anyone of you is on King's Road or anything on Steam, let me know. Slowly adding stuff to my Steam.
ANYWHO! OFF I GO! I am needed in Monaco!
I'm the lookout
